NAGPRA Program
Consultations Welcome
Over the years, the Alaska State Museums have engaged in informal consultations with hundreds of individual members of Alaska Native tribes—a deep, long-term relationship that has constantly informed our exhibits and other programs. Newly written regulations provide us with the opportunity to formalize our relationships with tribes.
There are several ways to access information about the museums’ collections, exhibits, and educational programs and to engage in the consultation process. Please consider filling out the NAGPRA Contact Form for assistance or questions.
We are committed to fostering a collaborative and respectful relationship and welcome further discussions to address any concerns or considerations you may have regarding the significance and ongoing display of collections.
